Where is Dacha Navy Yard in relation to Audi Field and Nationals Park?
Dacha Navy Yard sits at 79 Potomac Ave SE, and in the garden's own words it is located on the bank of the Anacostia River and across from Nationals Park. Audi Field is at 100 Potomac Ave SW, on the same avenue but on the far side of South Capitol Street. That is why the same Dacha address works for visitors looking for a beer garden near either stadium.
One street note that saves people a wrong turn: the two addresses share a street name but sit in different quadrants of the city. The garden is on the SE side, the stadium is on the SW side, and South Capitol Street is the line between them. Put "79 Potomac Ave SE" in your maps app, not just "Potomac Ave", and you will land at the garden.
The nearest Metro station is Navy Yard-Ballpark. Two buses stop close by: the P6 at M St and Half St SE, and the 74 at Half St SW and O St SW. Parking is limited, especially on game days, so the garden's own advice is a taxi, a rideshare or public transportation. Dacha is a cashless establishment.
What does a game day look like at Dacha Navy Yard?
The posted hours state it plainly: the garden opens at least two hours prior to any Nationals or D.C. United home game, on top of its regular hours. The home page adds the other half: Nationals, D.C. United and Washington Spirit fans love gathering at the garden before and after home games. That is the whole plan. Arrive early, take a communal table outside, and walk over when the crowd starts to move; after the final whistle, the same walk in reverse.
For the day's start time, check the team's own schedule. The seasons themselves are the fixed part: the Nationals' 2026 regular season runs through Sunday, September 27; the MLS regular season runs to November 7 and the Spirit's NWSL season to November 1, so soccer keeps the avenue busy well into the fall; and the DC Defenders play a spring season at Audi Field, with no home games in the fall.
What is on the table before the whistle?
The garden calls itself the DC home of Das Boot, the glass boot of beer, and pours a carefully curated menu of German, Belgian and American craft beers, local meads and ciders, draft cocktails and an array of wines. The seasonal food menus are inspired by traditional Bavarian beer gardens with an eye for local sourcing. Bring a dog, find a date, grab a bite, as the Navy Yard page puts it.
Happy hour is all day on Monday, 4 to 7pm Tuesday through Thursday, and noon to 6pm on Friday, excluding holidays, so a midweek evening kickoff drops the pregame squarely inside it. Lunch is served Monday to Thursday from noon to 4pm and Friday from noon to 2pm.
The pregame pour
Dachnik, a 4.4% true Helles lager by Weihenstephaner, is $5 a pint and $10 a boot during the specials window. Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen is $7 a pint, $14 a boot. The Monty, the signature cocktail of vodka, lemon, white peach and Weizenbock, is $7.
The pregame plate
The combo during that window is a beer and a burger for $15. On their own: the Skinny Burger with creole mustard, cheddar and fries, $10; the Bavarian ham and pork sandwich with aged provolone and yellow mustard aioli on brioche, $10; crispy broccoli with parmesan and garlic aioli, $8.
The weekly rhythm around the games
Monday Night Trivia at 7pm, free to play. Live Music Thursdays from 7 to 9pm on the waterfront. Sunday Movie Night from 6 to 9pm under the open sky, with a new theme each month. Cause Tuesdays raise money for local organizations.
Can a supporters' group or a company outing book the garden?
Yes. The garden hosts large, free-flowing receptions in its outdoor spaces, from networking receptions and alumni reunions to client appreciation occasions and team happenings, and the Navy Yard page lists event styles for up to 1,150 guests, including corporate buyouts.
Two rules matter for planning. Every event gets guaranteed space for up to 3 hours, and because of the communal-style seating each event must start by 6pm Monday to Friday and by 1pm on weekends and holidays. Groups of up to 30 reserve on Resy, groups of 11 and more are secured with a card on file, and larger events go through the private events page.
