What Is the Dacha Oktoberfest Champions Competition?
Dacha Beer Garden Navy Yard is hosting a full Bavarian battle on Saturday, October 3rd, starting at 2 PM. Teams of four go head-to-head across eight Oktoberfest-inspired events that test strength, speed, accuracy, and drinking skill. The buy-in is $40 per team, and spots are limited to ten teams total.

The Eight Oktoberfest Events
Each of the eight events is drawn from Bavarian tradition or classic party competition, with every round contributing points toward your team's final championship score. One or two teammates take on each challenge, so every member of your four-person crew sees action.
Stiefel Halterung (Boot Hold)
Two members per team hold their boot as long as possible. Strength and stamina decide who lasts.
Stiefel-Ex (Boot Chug)
One competitor per team races to finish their boot. Fastest time wins, with a 2-second penalty added for every spill.
Brezelessen (Pretzel Eating)
One competitor per team takes on the pretzel challenge. Fastest to finish wins.
Hammerschlagen
Teams take turns driving a nail into a stump, one hit per player at a time. Fewest hits to sink the nail wins.
Flip Cup
Teams play for time, down and back twice. Fastest team takes the points.
Cornhole
Teams have 90 seconds to rack up as many points as possible. Every point counts toward the final tally.
Quarters
Each team member gets 10 chances to toss a quarter into a shooter glass. Successful shots from all four players are combined for the team total.
Beer Pong
Each team member gets 10 shots to make as many cups as possible. The team's combined makes fight for those final championship points.
What Does the Winning Team Take Home?
Prizes run three deep, so even second and third place walk away with something worth playing for. The top prize is sponsored by Weihenstephaner, one of the world's oldest Bavarian breweries, which fits the Oktoberfest theme perfectly.
1st Place
A $200 Dacha gift card plus four Dacha Boot Glasses, sponsored by Weihenstephaner.
2nd Place
A free round for the team.
3rd Place
