What Is the DC Fright Crawl?
The Fright Crawl is a ticketed Halloween bar crawl that brings together four or more of Washington DC's best bars under a single wristband, with no cover charge at any stop. A live crawl map tracks the party in real time, and a host keeps the night moving from start to finish.
Dacha Beer Garden Shaw is one of the featured stops on the 2026 crawl, alongside Aslin Beer Company, Calico, The Alchemist DC, GameOn Bar + Arcade, and The Craft DC. Up to 800 people in costume will move through the city together, making Thursday, October 29th the kickoff to Halloween weekend in DC.
Live DJs and Halloween Hits All Night
Bar crawls live and die by the energy on the floor, and the Fright Crawl keeps it going with live DJs spinning the biggest hits alongside Halloween classics throughout the night. Costumes are part of the deal, with hundreds of people dressed up across every stop.
The crawl runs until 2:00 AM, giving you a full night across Shaw and the surrounding neighborhoods before Halloween itself arrives.
