What Is the Dacha Navy Yard Oktoberfest?
Dacha Beer Garden Navy Yard is hosting its Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 19th, bringing Munich-style tradition to the Capitol Riverfront. The afternoon runs from 1:30 PM through the early evening and is free to attend.
The event opens with a ceremonial keg tapping in partnership with Weihenstephan, the Bavarian brewery, at 1:30 PM, followed immediately by live music and Bavarian dancing from 2–3 PM.
Who Is Performing at Oktoberfest?
Live entertainment continues throughout the afternoon with two distinct sets. The opening set features Bavarian dancing from 2–3 PM, setting the tone for a full afternoon of German celebration.
From 3:30–6:30 PM, Manuela Horn and her Brew Belles take the stage. Manuela Horn is recognized as a headliner of the Oktoberfest circuit, and her set includes games and contests alongside the live music.
Is There a Dress Code or Costume Bonus?
All Oktoberfest events at Dacha Beer Garden Navy Yard are free to join. No cover charge applies to any part of the afternoon lineup.
Guests who arrive wearing a dirndl or lederhosen receive a complimentary beer poured from the ceremonial Weihenstephan keg. Traditional Bavarian attire is encouraged but not required.
Oktoberfest Schedule, September 19th
1:30 PM – Ceremonial Keg Tapping
The official Oktoberfest keg tapping with Weihenstephan opens the celebration. Guests in dirndl or lederhosen receive a free pour from this keg.
2:00 – 3:00 PM – Live Music and Bavarian Dancing
The first live music set brings Bavarian dancing to the Navy Yard patio, free to all guests.
3:30 – 6:30 PM – Manuela Horn and the Brew Belles
Manuela Horn and her Brew Belles headline the afternoon with live music, games, and contests. Free admission continues through the full set.
